Before his appointment in Guinea, Pierre Ngom has served as UNICEF's Representative in Eritrea (2016-2019) and Comoros (2013-2016). Regional Head of Monitoring and Evaluation (S-E) the Middle East and North Africa (2008-2013), and East and Southern Africa (2006-2008).
Mr. Ngom (Senegal) holds a DUES in mathematics/physics from the University of Dakar, a DEA in demography from IFORD (Yaounde, Cameroon),an Ingénieur des Travaux Statistiques from the School of Statistics and Applied Economics (Abidjan, Côte-d’Ivoire), and a doctorate in demography from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA).
Mr. Simon Tiemtoré is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vista Bank Group and founder of Lilium Capital.
He is an investment specialist involved in various sectors in Africa, from finance to energy, real estate, hotels, and agribusiness. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Africa-USA Business Center of the United States Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and is a Director of the Initiative for Global Development (IGD). Simon Tiemtoré is today a leading figure in investment in Guinea and more broadly across the Continent.
Mr. Ahoua Don Melo is the Special Advisor in charge of Infrastructure to the President of the Republic of Guinea.
Holder of a Doctorate in Engineering from “Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées de Paris” a DEA in Mechanical Engineering from the same school and a Civil Engineering degree from the National Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro. He was successively lecturer and research fellow at the National Higher Technical School of Public Works (ENSTP) of Yamoussoukro; research fellow at the Building and Public Works Laboratory of Abidjan, President of the Control Committee of the Ivorian Popular Front (1990-96); Engineer lecturer and research fellow at the University of Cocody-Abidjan and Secretary General of the party La Renaissance (1997). He was then a member of the Economic and Social Council of Côte d'Ivoire; Central Director in charge of the Design and Monitoring of the Yamoussoukro Technopole at the Ivorian Ministry of Higher Education and Director General of the National Office of Studies and Development (BNETD 2000-2010). Mr. Ahoua Don Melo held the post of Minister of Equipment and Sanitation and spokesman of the Ivorian Government between 2010 and 2011.
Born in Guinea and grew up in Senegal where she completed all her schooling before going to the United States to pursue her studies. Aïssata Béavogui obtained a degree in general accounting in 1995 and decided to go into auditing. In particular, she worked for firms specializing in government auditing in the United States before joining the international firm Deloitte; one of the four largest auditing companies in the world. After six years with the firm, Aissata Béavogui joined Xerox Communication and Discovery Communication where she held senior positions. In 2013, she decided to move back to Guinea and worked for Grant Thornton Guinea. While working for EGA as a consultant, she was identified and recruited to take on the position of Director in charge of Compliance and Governance at GAC.
After Mamady Youla's appointment as Prime Minister in December 2015, she served as GAC's interim Executive Director until January 2016 before being confirmed by the EGA Board of Directors as GAC's Executive Director. Aissata Béavogui is the first Guinean woman to hold senior positions in a Guinean mining company of international stature.

A specialist in fiscal and monetary policy and particularly interested in issues of economic development, good governance, business climate, and public resource mobilization. Matata Ponyo Mapon holds a PhD in Economics from the Protestant University in Congo in February 2018.
Mr. Mapon worked at the Central Bank of Congo from 1988 to 2000. In 2000, he became advisor to the Minister of Finance. Subsequently, from 2003 to 2010, he became Director General of the Central Coordination Office (BCECO). On February 19, 2010, he joined the government as Minister of Finance. On April 18, 2012, Mr. Mapon was appointed Prime Minister until December 20, 2016. Since March 2019, Mr. Mapon has been the Senator of the province of Maniema in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mori Diané holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago and an M.B.A. in Economics from Howard University and is also a PhD candidate in Finance and Econometrics from the University of Chicago.
He began his career as an Economic Policy Analyst, American Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC. Mr. Diané has worked on his own account as a broker of financial instruments in the world's largest futures markets. He held his own seats on both the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Mr. Diané has served as a consultant for numerous institutions including USAID, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, several private companies, and numerous African governments (Burundi, Niger, and Guinea-Bissau). Mori, Diané is CEO of several Guinean companies such as: La Guinéenne Des Mines (GDM), a mining company; La Guinéenne d'Énergie (GDE), an energy production company; and Tropicaux, a fruit processing company.
Mamady Youla, an economist by profession, began his university studies at the University of Abidjan where he obtained a DEA in Macroeconomics in 1989. From September 1991 to June 1992 he continued his training in Paris by taking a postgraduate degree in Banking and Finance at the Center of Finances and economics. He attended from September to November 2014 at the International Monetary Fund Institute in Washington a training program on financial programming and policies.
From 1990 to 1997, he carried out various functions, including that of Director of the Studies and Research Department within the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea. Mr. Youla is also a very experienced mining executive; he was previously Managing Director of Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) from June 2004 to December 2015. In 2015, he was appointed Prime Minister, Head of the Government of Guinea, where he will be in charge of coordinating and leading the Government between December 2015 and May 2018.
Since December 2019, he has served as Chief Executive Officer at Société des Mines de Fer de Guinée (SMFG).
Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina is the 8th elected President of the African Development Bank Group.
A development economist and agricultural development expert, Mr. Adesina is 58 years old and has more than 25 years of international experience. He is the first Nigerian to become president of the Bank Group since the institution's inception. Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development from 2011 to 2015, Adesina A. Akinwumi has implemented bold policy reforms in the fertilizer sector and implemented innovative agricultural investment programs aimed at expanding opportunities for the private sector.
Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Adesina was Vice President (Policy and Partnerships) of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), created by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation. He was also Associate Director (Food Security) at the Rockefeller Foundation in New York, where he worked for a decade (1998-2008) in senior positions, including Regional Office Director and Representative for Southern Africa.
Mr. Adesina was also Senior Economist and Coordinator of Social Science Research at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Senior Economist and Coordinator of the West African Rice Economics Working Group of the West African Rice Development Association (WARDA), and Deputy Senior Economist at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). From 2008 to 2010, he served as President of the African Association of Agricultural Economists. He has received several international awards for his leadership and work in agriculture. In 2010, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon named him one of 17 world leaders to lead the Millennium Development Goals, along with Bill Gates, the Prime Minister of Spain, and the President of Rwanda. In 2013, he was named "Personality of the Year" by Forbes Africa magazine.
Mr. Adesina graduated in 1981 with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ife, Nigeria. His PhD in Agricultural Economics was completed in 1988 at Purdue University in the United States, and he was awarded the Award for Excellence for his thesis research. In the same year, he also won the prestigious Rockefeller Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in Social Sciences, which launched his international career in global agricultural development.
Leandre Bassole is the country manager of the African Development Bank Group in Guinea since Nevember 2017.
With a doctor’s degree in development economics from the University of Auvergne in France, he began his professional career at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in 2004 and then moved to the World Bank's Washington office in 2006 to work on the 2008 World Development Report on Agriculture for Development; and to manage a program of impact analysis of the fight against AIDS in 15 African countries.
He joined the Bank in 2009 through the young professional program and worked for 8 years on all aspects of senior macroeconomic issues covering six countries (Gabo verde, Mali, Burundi, Madagascar, Senegal, and Rwanda). He coordinated and led the dialogue on economic policy reform with government authorities and development partners focusing on issues of project design and co-financing, fiscal and debt policies, and domestic resource mobilization.
He has more than 15 years of professional experience in development economics, with a strong focus on strategic project management, macroeconomic policy analysis, public sector reforms, institutional and operational issues in multilateral development institutions.

A retired Investment Banker and U.S. diplomat, Patricia Newton Moller has turned to a Business consultant. Her firm, Moller Global Advisory LLC, assists companies willing to do business in developing countries. Patricia Newton Moller has worked as an investment banker at Smith Barney Harris Upham before joining the State Department.
Mrs Moller served as an Extraordinary Ambassador and Plenipotentiary to Guinea from March 26, 2010, to September 12, 2012. She served as Ambassador to Burundi from (March 4, 2006-June 2009). She has also served as Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) to Georgia.
Mr. Josep COLL has been a permanent civil servant of the European Union for more than 31 years. With a degree in Public Relations and Communication (University of Barcelona), Mr. Coll led the communication for the enlargement of the European Union for two years (2005 - 2007). In particular, he was responsible for a team in charge of the implementation of information and awareness campaigns in some EU Member States.
It is within the EU institutions that he has devoted almost his entire career. Ambassador for the European External Action Service for more than a decade, he has held several ambassadorial positions in recent years in West and East Africa: Cape Verde, Benin, and Eritrea.
Between 2012 and 2013, he was an Advisor to the Africa Department at the EEAS with long-term assignments to the EU Delegations in Ethiopia and Burundi. He was the European Commission's External Relations Spokesperson with special responsibilities for the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia. In his position as Special Adviser in the Africa EEAS department before joining Guinea, he was the principal coordinator of the organization of the International Conference for The Gambia in Brussels on 22 May 2018.

He was a former chairman of the National Empowerment Fund (NEF).

Ronnie is former President of the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has been a formal adviser on economic development, to a number of heads of state in Africa, and has in a number of continents, delivered papers on financing, economic development, and entrepreneurship. He is also a patron of the Hugh Masekela Heritage Foundation (HMHF).
Since January 4, 2016, Mr. Abdoulaye Magassouba occupies the position of Minister of Mines and Geology.
Mr Magassouba is an Economist, former adviser to the President of the Republic and expert on major investment projects. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management obtained in Morocco and a Master's Degree in Economic Policy, specializing in development economics, from Williams College (Massachusetts) in the United States in 2010-2011. Abdoulaye Magassouba held from March 2013 to December 2015, the position of Advisor in charge of the Monitoring and Support Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
Abdoulaye Magassouba has been an active member of several strategic and technical committees. He was one of the key actors in the discussions with partners on the Souapiti project and more broadly in the energy sector, as well as in the follow-up of the strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi on the agriculture, energy and mining sectors.
Before joining the office of the President of the Republic, Abdoulaye Magassouba worked for 15 years in the field of consulting, technical assistance and auditing for public and private sector structures in Guinea. In the private sector, he carried out audit and business consulting missions in the mining, insurance, telecommunications, electricity, micro-finance, trade and industry sectors.
Abdoulaye Magassouba has also worked as an instructor and research assistant at the Center for Development Economics at Williams College (USA).
Mr. Koulibaly, Oumar holds a degree in microelectronics from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and a DESS in Electrical Engineering in Montreal, Canada. Began his career in Canada where he acquired more than 10 years of professional experience.
He has held the position of: Senior Test Center Technician, Director of Advanced Technical Services, Director of Projects and Programs at "Bell Canada" considered not only as one of the major telecommunications companies but also as one of the largest companies in Canada.
In 2011, he decided to return to Guinea. Where he held the position of Deputy Director General of the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ARPT) for four years (May 2011 - December 2015) before assuming the role of Acting Director General until August 2016.
For more than two (02) years, he held the position of Managing Director of Guinea Telecom (formerly Sotelgui) and then in May 2019, Managing Director of Guinean Broadband (GUILAB), which he lead brilliantly for a year before being appointed in July 2020 Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy of the Republic of Guinea.

Mr. Tah has held many high level positions such as: Minister of Economy and Finance, Minister of Economic Affairs and Development and Senior Advisor to the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister of Mauritania.
As Minister, he chaired the National Statistics Council and represented Mauritania on the Board of Governors of the World Bank as well as in other regional and international development institutions including IFC, MIGA IFAD, IsDB, DHMAN, ICIEC, ICD, ITFC, AfDB, AFESD, AAAID and ACBF.
In the same capacity, he chaired the 37th meeting of BADEA's Board of Governors, the 93rd session of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States and the 2014-2015 G5-Sahel Council of Ministers.
Nigel Jones has spent two decades at Rio Tinto, where he currently holds the position of Managing Director of the Simandou iron ore project.
In previous roles he was Global Head of Business Development, Managing Director of Rio Tinto Marine, Head of Investor Relations and Marketing Director, Uranium. From 2017 to 2019, Mr Jones held the role of Head of Private Side Capital Markets at ICBC Standard Bank, leading the investment banking division of the global markets subsidiary of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the world's largest bank by assets.

She was also European correspondent for the Spanish Press Agency EFE in Brussels and Moscow between 1990 and 1996. She was editor and US correspondent for "El Periódico de Cataluña" (1986-1990).
Mr. Roger Patrick Milimono is an economist with more than 30 years of experience in the Guinean Public Administration.
Mr. Milimono holds a DEA in Development Economics from the Center for Studies and Research on International Development (CERDI) of the University of Clermont. He was a Research Associate at the Boussoura Fisheries Research Center from 1988 to 1997. He then served as a consultant on the elaboration of the SAG (Strategy for World Bank Assistance to Guinea).
From 1997 to 2009, he was Assistant to the Minister of Economy and Finance, a position in which he worked on several files.
From 2000 to 2006 he was a member of the Committee in charge of the Elaboration of the Poverty Reduction Strategy, and National Director of the DAP / Poverty (support program for the fight against poverty) between 2005 and 2007.
He joined the Central Bank of Guinea from 2009 to 2018 where he will successively hold the positions of Senior Advisor to the Governor, Advisor in Charge of Mission, Chairman of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Strategic Plan and responsible for the implementation of the HRIS and the Information System Master Plan.
He will serve as Minister of the Environment, Water and Forestry, a position he will hold from May to June 2018, before being appointed Minister of Livestock, a position he will hold from June 2018 to January 2021.
Since January 19, 2021, Mr. Roger Patrick Milimono has held the position of Minister Delegate for Agriculture and Livestock.
Previously, Mr. Pimenta was the Director and Global Head of Industry—Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services at IFC, managing all operations in these sectors worldwide. He led a team of 350 staff working across more than 100 countries to expand the private sector's role in addressing urgent development challenges in areas such as agribusiness, health, education, manufacturing, and commercial services.
Mr. Pimenta also served for three years as IFC’s Regional Director responsible for East Asia and the Pacific, based in Hong Kong. Earlier in his career at IFC, he held senior managerial positions in the manufacturing, agribusiness, and services sectors in the Asia Pacific region, the Middle East and North Africa, and Washington, DC. Prior to joining the World Bank Group through its Young Professionals Program in 1996, Mr. Pimenta worked for the Treasury Department of the French Ministry of Finance, as well as for the Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP). A Portuguese and French national, he holds an engineering degree from the École Polytechnique, Paris, and a post-graduate degree from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris.
Fanta Conde is the representative in Guinea of the company CrossBoundary, which specializes in advising and facilitating investment in emerging and pre-emerging markets.
Ms. Conde holds an MBA from the Wharton School. She received her undergraduate degree in Finance from the City University of New York, Baruch College. Prior to CrossBoundary, Fanta worked at BlackRock in New York, where she focused on the company's proprietary investment management technology platform called Aladdin. She was instrumental in expanding Aladdin's business with financial services providers. She began her career as an investment banking analyst at JP Morgan in the Healthcare coverage group and then in the Latin American M&A group.
At CrossBoundary, Fanta is part of the West Africa Investment Advisory team. She has worked on several agribusiness and waste management transactions within the framework of the Malian Investment Facilitation Platform, and is now focused on building a pipeline of investment-ready projects in agribusiness in Guinea and Ghana and facilitating investment in other industries in the sub-region.
